In the past five years, Prof. Dr. Lo Russo pioneered denture protocols using edentulous intraoral scanning. His published articles confirm the accuracy of this method. Contributors to this series unanimously endorse digital denture production for reduced chair time, fewer appointments, and consistent restoration quality, design, and fit.
VP Product strategy 3Shape
With over 24 years at 3Shape, currently serving as VP of Product Strategy and Business Unit Director for Dental Lab and Dental Clinic. Key roles include VP of Product Strategy (15+ years) and Manager of 3D Scanners (8+ years), where I built 3Shape’s scanner development from the ground up to become a global market leader. Education includes a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Computer Science and Mathematics from the Technical University of Denmark, as well as an Executive MBA from Copenhagen Business School.
Jasper Thoolen graduated as a dentist from Radboud University in Nijmegen in 2016. He works as a dentist for Lassus Tandartsen in Oisterwijk, where he is mainly involved in restorative and reconstructive dentistry, digital smile design and digital treatment planning, orthodontics and implantology. Jasper is a sought-after speaker for international meetings and symposia and is a trainer at several post-graduate restorative dentistry courses. In addition to his work at the chair, he writes articles for dental journals and is involved in several respected dental firms as a key opinion leader.
Jasper is also one of the founders of the online education platform Karma.Dentistry.
Torsten Schwafert is the CEO leading the business development of the Group in Europe.
Opening Remarks
Licentiate in Dentistry from KU Leuven (1989), specialist in Prosthetic Dentistry (1993), Doctor in Medical Sciences (1995), part-time scientific staff member in the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry at KU Leuven (1994-2000). Co-responsible for the Prosthetic Dentistry training program at the Dental Internship Center of AZ St-Jan Bruges. Additionally, works in a private practice in Bruges. Chairman of PUC West Flanders and Vice Chairman of LUTV. Former chairman of the VAPR (Association of Assistants in Prosthetic and Restorative Dentistry KU Leuven). Lecturer for the Institute of Osseointegration (since 2001). Board member of Digital Dentistry Belgium (since 2020). Guest lecturer at KU Leuven (since 2018).
Dr. CHAN Ronald Yik Long is the chairman of the Modern Dental Board and executive Director.
Marie-Pierre Moulin-Romsee, a dentist since 1996, specialized in orthodontics and established her own clinic in Belgium. She joined Modern Dental Europe in 2021 as the TrioClear™ manager for Europe, overseeing aligner education, clinical support, and product development.
Dr. Ömer Acar is an entreprenour minded dentist with a twist of media producing and marketing skills. Originally refugee from Turkey but lived and raised in Finland since age of 1 years. He has experience in setting up and managing agile companies in multiple sectors mainly with inherited entrepreneur skills from his parents. In addition to degree in dentistry he is educated at academic level in natural sciences such as maths, theoretical physics and chemistry at University of Helsinki, without a degree
Raised near my father‘s dental lab, I pursued dentistry at ACTA in Amsterdam, with post-doc degrees in implantology and orthodontics. As a clinical director at a university and the largest Dutch healthcare chain, I‘ve blended clinical proficiency with managerial skills, ensuring high-quality, innovative care.
Roeland began his dental career in 1993 at the KULeuven dental lab. From 2000 to 2006, he was the „Technical and Training Manager“ for GC EUROPE. After starting his lab in 2006, he remained a freelance trainer and KOL for GC. Rejoining GC as a Product Manager in 2018, he now heads Product Management at Modern Dental Europe since February 2020.

SAN VICENTE STREET
Die San Vicente Street in Santa Eulària ist eine der Fußgängerzonen mit der höchsten Dichte an Restaurants in der Gemeinde. Sie bietet eine breite Palette an gastronomischen Optionen, bei denen Sie Gerichte wie Bullit de Peix, Paella, Hummerreis, Tapas, gegrilltes Fleisch, thailändisches Essen, indische Küche und andere internationale Gerichte genießen können.
PONT VELL (ALTE BRÜCKE)
Früher war sie der einzige Zugang zum Flussdorf und die einzige Brücke, die das Überqueren des Santa Eulària Flusses ermöglichte. Verschiedene Legenden besagen, dass sie vom Teufel in einer einzigen Nacht erbaut wurde oder dass man dort auch den Fameliar finden kann, ein kleines mythologisches Wesen, das in Santa Eulària beheimatet ist.
KIRCHE VON SANTA EULÀRIA
Die auf dem Puig de Missa gelegene Kirche stammt aus dem Jahr 1565 und wurde auf den Überresten nach einem Angriff türkischer Piraten erbaut. Sie verfügt über die größte Vorhalle der Kirchen auf Ibiza, die aus zwei Reihen von Bögen besteht. Mit Blick auf das Meer hat sie einen befestigten Turm, der zur Überwachung und Verteidigung gegen Piratenangriffe an der Küste diente, insbesondere gegen die verschiedenen Getreidemühlen entlang des Flusses.
